Ever since I started working at Ulta, I am constantly surrounded by makeup. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I hate it because literally everything I see, I want. My wallet is not very pleased with me right now, BUT I am extremely pleased (or at least I hope I will be) with all the items I purchased. I wanted to share them with you all. At the moment, these are all new products to me- so I will be making a youtube video soon where I put these items to the test. Will they work for me? You’ll have to wait and see! In the meantime, feel free to watch my other videos and subscribe (find my channel at Kelsey Joleen or you can click here). Other than that, let’s get into this haul. We have a lot to cover.
L.A. Girl Foundations
Okay, some of you may be wondering how in the HELL I got my hands on the NEW Pro-Matte foundation (L.A. Girl just posted on Instagram about the release yesterday!), and to be honest with you I AM NOT EVEN SURE! I am not very familiar with this brand of cosmetics, and the Ulta at my location just recently started selling it- not even a week ago. I picked up both of these foundations to test because I heard great reviews on the Pro Coverage foundation. I was searching the twitter-sphere while I was shopping so I could see swatches of the Pro Matte foundation and I didn’t find anything! I did not even know this foundation was new until I saw the post after I purchased it! Both foundations retail for $9. Anywho, if you all are interested in an in-depth review let me know in the comments below!
L.A. Girl Lipify Stylo’s
I picked up the shades ambitious, teddy, and jubilee (in order from top to bottom). I have not even swatched these- and the anticipation is killing me. I am waiting to film so I can have an on-film reaction. But seriously guys, these were only $6 each! I’m hoping they are killer and as Manny MUA says, “so pigmented”.
Morphe 9C Palette
O. M. G. These colors are gorgeous! It was love at first sight with this one. 9 shades for $12. I am so eager to play with this. Don’t worry, an in-depth review and swatch post is coming very soon! That top right shade is calling my name, brb.
L.A. Girl & Makeup Revolution Concealers
Picking a shade in these was difficult, and I am still not even sure if I grabbed the right colors. I have seen so many tutorials of beauty guru’s using the pro conceal ($5), so it was only right that I had it as well! LOL. As far as the Makeup Revolution concealer ($7), I heard it was a dupe for my holy grail Tarte Shape Tape? Hmm.. I feel another blog post coming soon.
Makeup Revolution Banana Powder & Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder
I was in need of powder. Currently, I use my Coty Airspun, but I find that sometimes it leaves a white cast, which I am not a huge fan of. Hopefully, these products can replace it so I can be white-cast free. Both retail for $8 at your local Ulta!
e.l.f Powder Brush & Morphe M530
I figured since I was picking up some loose powders, I might as well get some new brushes. (BTW- Ulta just started carrying e.l.f!!) I picked up a basic powder brush for setting my foundation ($4), and the Morphe M530 for setting/baking my undereye ($10).
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
Look, I know I am extremely late in this trend. I have tried- and loved- the rosewater, but I have not yet tried this one. I am ready for my face to feel refreshed, Mario Badescu. You can pick this up at your local Ulta for $5 (2 fl oz).
L’Oreal Infallible Matte-Lock Primer
If you all did not know, the Infallible Matte foundation was one of my favorites for a decent time. I was in need of a drugstore primer, so I wanted to give this one a try ($13). If you all have primer recommendations, please let your girl know!
ModelsOwn Sculpt & Glow Bronzer
I have heard amazing reviews about this product, and have been searching for it for some time now. I was lucky enough to finally get my hands on it. I am so eager to test this out ($13). This will be the first product I have tried from this brand, so hopefully it leaves a great impression!
Maybelline Lasting Drama Liner
NEW PRODUCT ALERT!! I am not really one to wear liner, but I thought I would give this a shot. I found this in the new Maybelline section for $6.
My lash application skills are starting to improve you guys! I remember when I first started playing with lashes, I was so terrible at applying them. It would also take me forever to put them on! I hated them because I could not, for the life of me, apply them. After weeks of practice, I think I am finally mastering the skill! Yay! I thought these lashes were the prettiest of them all; they are mink effect lashes, so they seem more realistic than most of my Ardell ones. They retail for $11.
Benefit Badgal Bang Mascara
36 HOURS OF VOLUME, WATER RESISTANT, SMUDGE PROOF, FLAKE FREE, AND MADE WITH VITAMINS: WHAT ELSE COULD YOU POSSIBLY ASK FOR?! As soon as Benefit launched this mascara, I knew in my heart that I needed this in my collection. You can pick up the mascara for $24! I am ready to reach badgal status.
Deep breath, we have made it to the end y’all! Those were all the products I picked up. I hope you enjoyed this haul. Let me know if there is anything you want a review on. I will be completely happy to do it! Thank you so much for sticking around.
Stay humble & happy,
